Who is your health expert?

Who is the expert you trust the most when it comes to your body?

It’s tempting to put your health into the hands of others – those who we believe are more experienced, more educated, and more expert …. But honey, the truth is NO ONE is more expert on YOUR BODY than you.

No one HAS YOUR BACK like you do!

So take a deep breath, open your mind and you keep reading . Remember that your body holds infinite wisdom – in most cases, it is able to heal itself when you just give it WHAT IT NEEDS. Nothing has been more healing for me than this re-connecting with this knowing.

So what does developing this sense of empowerment and self-trust look like?

  • Become truly honest with yourself about the quality of your choices – food, addictions, relationships, your job, your home, movement, stress, emotional triggers – they ALL contribute to your health in deeper ways than you are admitting.

  • Notice what your unwanted symptoms are and understanding that these are just feedback from your body. Symptoms are NOT the cause, they’re just the effect and they’re giving you clues as to what is really going on.

  • Start asking better more empowered questions, knowing that your ‘experts’ are offering you a summary of diagnoses of YOUR body with the information they know in the time they have. It is a version of their truth but it does not have to be yours.

  • Invest in some great resources that meet you where you’re at and resonate with your heart, body and head. Some of my greatest progress with healing has come from my collection of books (pictured here is just a sample of favourite resources that I’ve accumulated on my path).

  • Choose your team of practitioners, coaches and other supporters intentionally. Understanding that YOU GET TO CHOOSE may change your entire health journey.

  • Trust your gut – when you handed a script, a diet or a treatment plan that DOES NOT feel right to you, STOP. You are under no obligation to return to any practitioner, to fill the script to take the tests if your intuition is nudging you to go in a different direction. Trust the nudge, it’s your body telling you it knows better or there is more to learn.

  • Be patient, I’m 22 years into a process of gradual empowerment and honing my intuition. It gets easier and harder as you go but it never gets dull!

In our membership program Awakening, you receive monthly downloads in the form of masterclasses, booklets and action points that will bring you closer and closer to the incredible vital woman that you were born to be. Every topic will guide you to understanding the needs of your body and soul more clearly so that you ARE truly becoming the expert that your inner guidance system already knows you are. Learn more or join us for your Awakening here.

Don’t be afraid of your symptoms. They’re not inconvenient, they don’t need to be ignored, feared or stuffed down with food or drugs. Symptoms are messages, feedback that your body is not getting what it needs. That’s it. End of story.

It’s time to relearn what you’ve been taught. Your symptoms and your discomfort are an opportunity to get to know your body a little better. To form a new partnership where it’s YOU AND YOU, committing to being in service to self, maybe for the first time.

And that is the beginning of a whole new story – your future health story. Empowered, curious, healing.

Babe you’re constantly being invited to be part of something powerful, beautiful and profound. Don’t ignore the invitation.
